In July 2015, the FCC released its TCPA Omnibus Declaratory Ruling and Order intended to clarify the FCC’s interpretation of certain provisions of the TCPA. We wish to affirm that we have reviewed this ruling and will abide by the guidance provided in the ruling as determined by us in conjunction with the Council of American Survey Research Organizations (CASRO). CASRO represents more than 300 companies and market research operations in the United States and abroad. ORC International is a founding member of CASRO. CASRO’s mission is to provide the environment and leadership that will advance the integrity, quality, and best interests of research businesses, as well as the U.S. and global research industry.
In addition to CASRO membership, ORC International has also achieved ISO 20252 certification for Market, Opinion and Social Research. As noted in the ISO standard, “An international quality standard ensures that the process elements of such research are undertaken to an appropriate standard and in a verifiable and consistent manner. This will enable data, arising from research studies carried out to this standard, being used to guide the provision of goods and services to citizens and institutions in a consistent and transparent fashion.” Achieving this certification has provided our clients further confidence in the quality of the information we provide.
As further evidence of our quality data collection, ORC International and CNN, the most trusted name in news, have established a partnership over the past seven years on the CNN|ORC International poll. The interviews for the CNN|ORC International poll are conducted from ORC International’s telephone facilities in the United States using a dual frame sample of random landline and mobile phone numbers. ORC International conducts national, state-level, post-debate and speech polls, as well as research to support CNN documentaries.
